Colic Cure -
A colic cure? Well not really. The day that there is a cure for colic it will be a major noise, and every doctor will know about it.
But can there really ever be a cure for colic? I personally don’t think there will ever be a colic cure and here is why.
My belief is that colic is predominantly due to brain development in infants. (If you want to know why I think that then you will have to read my book about how to stop a crying baby) It stands to reason that the cure will have to affect this brain problem, and right now no doctor that is not insane would mess with giving a baby a drug that affects the brain.
What shall we do? Nothing - Let it run? You could do nothing, and many parents inadvertantly do exactly that. But you would be cheating your baby and yourself out of happiness for both parties
The answer is to be the nurse and ease any pain and suffering because there is no cure, you should treat the symptoms and make the patient as comfortable as possible. It’s just like treating a flu, or a broken arm - there is no magic pill, but you can reduce the symptoms to make things bearable
OK so lets begin, the first thing you should do is know the symptoms. If you are an unlucky parent with a colicky child then you pretty much will be concentrating on the main symptom. The Screaming!
Actually it is as simple as that to begin with. So this will be easier than you thought.
Job done…
Only joking.
How do you treat the crying? There are 5 steps you must know, that when used in tandem will put your screaming baby to sleep in a few moments. I normally only need 3 of the 5 steps in combination and that is enough assist in calming baby and making baby sleep most of the time.
I will give away Step1, Step 4 and Step 5 to you here now. But to get the really {juicy|important} {steps|elements|parts} you will have to go to my colic website where the info is free.
STEP 1 Body Contact.
Touch to the front and back of baby at the same time by
using contact with your own skin. This step is number one because it works
included with step three. I was originally going to put this in as step three, but because it is
so fundamental and is required for the other actions that I made it
this step 1.
STEP 2 & 3 omitted.
STEP 4: Place baby in swaddle. There are Videos on my site on how to do that.
STEP 5: Dummy or Pacifier - people think this is the best they can do, in these steps it is actually the worst one, and I have proved it to myself over and over. It will actually take longer for baby to sleep when you use a dummy(Pacifier).
There is of course much more detail in my free ebook. All the steps occupy at least 15 pages in the free ebook.
